Q. Is Liquid Glass Pre-Cleaner safe for use on new car finishes with clear coat paint?

A. Yes. Pre-Cleaner cleans chemically with micro-fine abrasives that are designed for clear coat finishes. They will not scratch the paint surface. Pre-Cleaner will remove minor scuffs and scratches, road tar, bugs, wax, and light oxidation.

Q. Should Pre-Cleaner be used on a new car before applying Liquid Glass Polish/Finish?

A. Yes. Pre-Cleaner should always be used before the initial coat of Liquid Glass Polish/Finish. Even new cars will have some type of wax or dealer preparation product on them before the car is delivered. Removing everything from the paint surface will ensure good adhesion of Liquid Glass Polish/Finish with a minimum of streaking.

Q. If I use Liquid Glass Polish/Finish, will I need to apply a wax over it?

A. No. A wax product will not add luster or improve protection. For additional luster and protection simply apply additional coats of Liquid Glass Polish/Finish. The more coats applied, the deeper and richer the gloss. The protection will also improve. For example, many coats have been known to increase the resistance to stone chips.

Q. How often should I apply Liquid Glass Polish/Finish?

A. Liquid Glass Polish/Finish cannot be overused. The more coats applied the better the protection. In extreme weather conditions (e.g. snow, heavy rain, high heat, etc.) Liquid Glass Polish/Finish should be applied a minimum of every 6-12 months. Applying Liquid Glass Polish/Finish more often will help build added protection.

Q. Can Liquid Glass Polish/Finish be applied and removed with an orbital buffer?

A. Yes, an orbital buffer can be used to apply or remove Liquid Glass Polish/Finish. However, since Liquid Glass Polish/Finish is so easy to use, we recommend application and removal by hand. Customers often ruin good paint finishes because they are not skilled in the use of an orbital buffer. Should you choose to use one, please seek instruction from a detailing or body shop professional.
